Joe caught the “magic bug” at the early age of 8 when he discovered his older brother’s magic set tucked away in his closet consisting of a makeshift cape, a cardboard hat, and numerous plastic props of prestidigitation. Joe’s act has come a long way since then, but it was a wonderful start to his successful career.

Many years later, Joe landed his first paying gig performing at a restaurant in St. Louis with five other magicians. Surrounded by this talent Joe developed his skills in the world of restaurant magic. Since then he has performed for various restaurants during the last 15 years on a weekly basis with cards, coins, silks, cigarettes, and even balloon animals for the little ones. During this time Joe has had many “Masters of Magic” train him their secret techniques, which would eventually reward him. He created his stand-up act during his final days in college and began performing for the corporate world. In 2001 Joe had his first magic competition in New Orleans with magicians around the world and with his act received, “Best Close-Up Magician” and in 2002 received the “Most Original Act” award in New York City. Since then he has performed at the prestigious Magic Castle in LA where only the “best of the best” are invited to entertain.

Joe’s show is one part comedy, one part magic, and two parts audience participation. His engaging personality and high energy captivates his crowd and makes them part of the show. He has amazed crowds not only with his clever conjuring, but he can steal a watch off an audience member without them ever knowing. Joe’s new act involves his amazing talent of cigarette eating, many feats of card magic, an unusual escape that only the audience can determine the fate, and a finale that is performed solo by an audience member!
